Professor Mario Del Treppo was born in 1929 in Pola (Istria) and moved in 1946 to Naples with his family. In this town, he has lived and worked, becoming one of the most important medievalist historians of the country. In this conversation, he remembers his first steps in the historical research, his teachers and colleagues and his historiographical and philosophical models.
