This paper presents a critical discussion of one of Zeno's paradoxes commonly referred to as “Achilles and the Tortoise” with a special attention to its influence, particularly in the last century. I distinguish the purely mathematical aspect of the paradox concerning the problem of convergent infinite series, the ontological one concerning the problem of supertasks, and philosophical one involving density of space, time and motion. Regarding the first, I stress that it is possible to say that it is basically solved since Cauchy. As for the second, I show how, in order to overcome the problem, it is necessary to assume the continuity of the space. Finally, with respect to the third, I discuss the arguments in favor of the density of space, time and motion based on perception and on scientific realism. Il saggio presenta una discussione critica del paradosso di Zenone chiamato l'Achille, con attenzione soprattutto alla sua fortuna, in particolare negli ultimi cento anni. Si distingue l'aspetto puramente matematico relativo al problema della serie infinite convergenti, quello ontologico relativo alla questione dei supercompiti e quello filosofico della densità dello spazio, del tempo e del moto. Riguardo al primo, si sottolinea come da Cauchy in poi si possa dire che il problema sia sostanzialmente risolto. Per quanto concerne il secondo, si mostra come, per superare il problema, occorra assumere la continuità dello spazio. Infine, relativamente al terzo, si discutono gli argomenti a favore della densità dello spazio, del tempo e del moto basati sulla percezione e sul realismo scientifico.
