The author proposes an exploration of the tourist itineraries that cross the cultural landscape. In doing this, she uses, as a case study, the tourist route Caminhos de pedra, in Bento Gonçalves. She highlights how tourism enhancement can become both an instrument of preservation and degradation of the cultural and landscape heritage. She reflects on the actions that are taken to contribute to the requalification of the cultural landscape and the relative economic return.
