The contents of the dossier are based on a research project financed
by the Interreg Italy-Slovenia programme 2014-2020 entitled "Cross-border network for migrant women: social integration, sexual and reproductive health'. The project aimed to deepen the topic, at that time still not much explored, of the consequences on the sexual and reproductive health of migrant women of traditional practices such as forced marriages and female genital mutilation. Some hospital facilities were involved in the because it is evident that these practices can also have significant negative effects on the health system as well.
