This article investigates the religious-cultural relationship between the first Italics/Aquileians who entered the lands beyond the Alps, in what was to become the province of Noricum, and the indigenous peoples, focusing on one deity, the Graeco-Roman Hercules. The stages through which the god was exported are examined, as well as the metamorphosis the deity underwent in the new territory, taking on diverse powers to fulfil the requirements of his worshippers.
