The chapter aims to illustrate the main features of the Regulation (EC) n. 861/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 July 2007 establishing a European Small Claims Procedure (so-called ESCP Regulation) and to scrutinize how it has so far been applied in Italy, pinpointing the specific issues raised by the superimposition of the Regulation on the Italian legal framework.
