Pigmented bacteria, which are present on
the surfaces of goat cheeses, have been
isolated and identified. They are: S. vitulus,
S. equorum var. linens and Brevibacterium
linens. A modified medium (ATP medium)
has been proposed for their enumeration and
identification.
