This article examines how Cold War-era Italian left-wing media constructed and transformed the image of the Soviet woman. Drawing on periodicals such as «Rinascita», «Noi donne», and «Realtà Sovietica», it analyses representations of women’s work, family life, and public roles through both propaganda and critical perspectives. Particular attention is devoted to Ekaterina Furtseva and Alla Masevich as emblematic figures embodying Soviet modernity, emancipation, and its contradictions.
