This chapter analyses the media discourse on public health measures during the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in Slovenia in comparison with the media discourse in Italy. The focus was placed on the media that can be followed by residents along the Slovenian–Italian border in Slovenia and the Slovenian minority community in Italy. In fact, border area residents, especially minorities, are influenced by media discourse in both countries. In the border region, the advantages and disadvantages of the two national pandemic strategies are easier to assess: people can compare them and form a very clear opinion about their effectiveness.
