Il contributo presenta le nuove iscrizioni sepolcrali da Montebelluna (TV), relative
all’età di romanizzazione ed all’età romana (II a.C.-I d.C.); si sottolineano le potenzialità
informative di tale documentazione, che vede compresenza e forme di ibridazione tra tradizione
locale veneta e incipiente romanità. Si impostano le coordinate di un progetto di
edizione di tutta la documentazione epigrafica dell’area, in larga parte ancora inedita, che
si intende perseguire in prospettiva pluridisciplinare. The paper presents the newly found funerary inscriptions from Montebelluna (TV) referring
either to the Romanization period or to the full Roman period (IInd century BC to Ist century
AD). The informative potential offered by such documents is highlighted: the epigraphic
corpus shows both parallel and hybrid forms interrelating Venetic local traditions and early
Romanization models. A thorough edition of the corpus – mostly unpublished – is sketched
out, which is supposed to include a multidisciplinary approach.
