The paper deals with the comparison of water cities, cities in water and cities with water. In particular, we compare some paradigmatic Venetian cities, with some Dutch and Flemish cities. From these comparisons on the structure and form of historical settlements are emerging considerations on the differences more than the similarities, moreover obvious and banal, sometimes erroneous , among these cities.
Il saggio si occupa della comparazione di città d'acqua, nell'acqua e con l'acqua. In particolare si confrontano alcune città venete paradigmatiche, con alcune città fiamminghe e olandesi. Da questi confronti sulla struttura e forma storica degli insediamenti emergono numerose considerazioni sulle differenze ancor più che sulle analogie, del resto ovvie e banali, quanto talvolta erronee, tra queste città.
