Abstract
The social educator is not a new professional role in the labour world, yet it is considered paradigmatic for its characteristic liquidity, which is the result of the typical uncertainty of working in the field of education. On the background of the current historical and political situation, which could bring about relevant innovations for professions in education, this essay analyses this specific profession and suggests some considerations for a sustainable training, whith specific reference to the initial placement
