Color and space as dimensions of the phenomenal experience are deeply
co-dependent with each other and the same can be said for pictorial arts and
visual sciences. The motivation behind this special issue was to stimulate reflection regarding the multiple ways in which space, color, perception, and art in all their possible combinations can be studied scientifically.
