The essay traces the history of the Action Party after the Action Party. It argues that a specific political culture was born in the Republic of Parties. It gradually transmigrated into the traditional parties, especially those of the democratic left, which emerged for various and settled historical reasons as instruments of political organization of the Italians after the Fascist dictatorship. From the Partito d’Azione arose a strategic project that looked to the lefts of plural democracy countries and their transformative function in the era of bipolar globalization and its consumption.
