This thesis presents distinct research themes focused on ultrathin ferromagnetic films. It covers various topics, including the exploration and control of magnetic anisotropy through surface modifications, and its enhancement when ferromagnets are combined with graphene layer. Additionally, the work investigates the magnetic interaction between different ferromagnetic layers separated by a graphene spacer, focusing on its significance in controlling this coupling. The final part preliminarily examines the magnetic dynamics of these films, emphasising their atypical responses which is a field for further investigation.
