La questione relativa all’uso dell’antico
in Grecia, o meglio nella Grecia di oggi,
è un tema che appassiona e coinvolge
molti studiosi e che ha prodotto una mole
consistente di lavori scientifici, traduzioni
e rappresentazioni per il largo pubblico.
Qui cercherò di dare alcune coordinate
focalizzando qualche aspetto della fortuna di
Eschilo nella Grecia moderna. The question relating to the use of antiquity in
Greece, or rather in today’s Greece, is a subject that
fascinates and involves many scholars. It has produced
a substantial amount of scientific works, translations
and representations for non academic public.
I try to offer some coordinates focusing on some aspects
of Aeschylus’ fortune from the first translations and
representations in modern Greek to the festival in
Eleusis in 2021.
