  • book part

Abstract
Brescia and Verona are two of the most important modern cities in northern Italy in which archaeological remains and ancient monuments have survived through the centuries. However, this is also a big limit, because data and archaeological evidences are frequently inhomogenenous and fragmented. The aim of this paper is to illustrate a preliminary analysis of costs and amount of marbles and stones used for public buildings in comparison with epigraphic and literary available sources
