Malignant mesothelioma is a rare tumor. Its more common form is the pleural type, while the peritoneal origin on accounts for less than 10 to 20% of all malignant mesolthelioma. We report a case of unsuspected localized peritoneal malignant mesothelioma of the hernia sac in an old male patient who underwent emergency surgery for an incarcerated left inguinal hernia.
