The aim of this book is to provide both students and users of English a greater understanding of the dynamics of intercultural communication and to suggest some strategies for communication in different cultural contexts even when the language, English, is always the same. The potential reader is anyone who uses English as a lingua franca but it could be of specific interest to the communication studies student, the liaison interpreting student or practitioner who wants to improve their communication strategies or anyone else who deals with people from different countries and uses English as their language of communication.
