V prispevku so analizirani štirje Peganovi romani: Čoln, Pisatelj, Adam in pilot, Potovanje na začetek poti, Svetilnik in tri kratkoprozne zbirke: Kopanje mornarjev v topli vodi, Nebo davnega poletja in Štiri morske milje. Temeljna metodologija je literarnovedna, naslonjena na kulturno geografijo v smislu t. i. prostorskega obrata, ki poudarja pomen raziskovanja prostora tudi v književnosti. Predstavljeni so odgovori na raziskovalna vprašanja, kateri elementi pokrajine gradijo literarni prostor v Peganovi prozi (mesto, morje, podeželje), na katere zunanje in notranje mikrolokacije je razdeljen, kakšno je razmerje med njimi in kakšna je v njej vloga mesta in morja kot dveh najobsežnejših literarnih prostorov. In the contribution, four novels written by Pegan are analyzed: Čoln, Pisatelj, Adam in pilot, Potovanje na začetek poti and Svetilnik together with three collections of short stories: Kopanje mornarjev v topli vodi, Nebo davnega poletja and Štiri morske milje. The methodology adopted is that of literary studies with the aid of cultural geography in the sense of the so-called spatial turn which highlights the study of space also in literature. Answers are given to the following research questions: which elements of the landscape constitute the literary space in Pegan’s prose (town, sea, countryside), in which external and internal micro-localities is it divided, what is the relationship between them and what is the role of the city and the sea in it as the two largest literary spaces.
