The present paper aims at illustrating the construction of a corpus of regional newspapers,
with a particular focus on the Segusinum corpus, a tool developed at the University
of Turin. The main objective of the project is to fill the gap of local newspaper corpora in
Italian linguistics and, more specifically, to provide a methodological solution not only
for regional sources but also for corpora of journalistic language in general.
