Low frequency pulsated magnetic fields were administered to patients recently operated upon for mastectomy. The effect of the magnetic fields was that of accelerating the repair of the surgical wound, of reducing the local oedema, of minimizing local pain and of enhancing the functional recovery of the shoulder when affected by post-operative periarthritis.
