Sulla base della teoria dell’inter-figuralità, si ipotizza che la caratterizzazione del personaggio di Socrate nelle Metamorfosi di Apuleio possa essere stata ispirata, per qualche aspetto, anche dalla figura mitologica di Filottete. Si indagano dunque le somiglianze fra i due personaggi e specialmente fra le loro ferite, aventi eziologia particolarissima ed effetti antitetici e speculari. Based on the theory of inter-figurality, it is hypothesized that the characterization of the character of Socrates in Apuleius' Metamorphoses may have been inspired, in some respects, also by the mythological figure of Philoctetes. The paper therefore investigates the similarities between the two characters and especially between their wounds, having a very particular etiology and antithetical and mirror effects.
