Do other animals have minds? Are they conscious? Can we understand what they feel and think?
Following some suggestions from the latest Antonio Damasio’s book The strange order of things
and the lesson from Spinoza about the relationship between body and mind, I will suggest that
also simple animals possess a mind and that we should start to conceive all others living beings
(human as well as non-human) in their uniqueness.
