This article provides an insight into the evaluation of the German-Italian section dedicated to reviews within the framework of the TransLab project. Through selected examples, it describes the challenges that reviews pose in the translation process from German into Italian and highlights the didactic potential that this text type has for the training of future translators. At the same time, the analysis shows which assistance trainee translators need in order to achieve an adequate translation performance of a review from German into Italian. The insights are to be incorporated into the editorial work of the TransLab platform
