Nel presente lavoro si propone un percorso di Law and Literature volto ad esaminare due modi di stare di fronte all’ingiustizia, e quindi due diverse concezioni della giustizia, corrispondenti, dal punto di vista giuridico, a due concezioni dell’autonomia soggettiva e, dal punto di vista letterario, a due interpretazioni dell’Antigone di Sofocle. Nella prima parte del saggio queste due concezioni troveranno riscontro nei due principali romanzi di Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, e il suo seguito, Through the Looking-Glass.
The present essay proposes an itinerary of Law and literature that intends to consider two ways of facing injustice, therefore two different concepts of justice: they correspond, from a jurical point of view, to two concepts of subjective autonomy and, from a literary point of view, to two interpretations of Sophocles’ Antigone. In the first part of this essay these two concepts will be found in the two Carroll’s major novels, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and its sequel, Through the Looking-Glass.
