The Author of this paper disagrees with Harnack's thesis that there has been a "Hellenisation" of Christianity and demontrates that the early Church Fathers rather exploited instrumentally only some contents of Greek philosophy (mainly belonging to the Platonic and Aristotelian tradition) in order to elevate the Christian religion to a high cultural level. The so following "philosophization" had the effect that a lot of basic concepts and arguments gathered from the Aristotle's ontology and logic became integral part of the Christian faith.
