Titian’s "Trinity" in Context. This thesis explores the contents of an interdisciplinary research on the historical events, the theoretical issues and the historical sources (images, documents, books) connected to Titian’s "Trinity" (or "Glory"). The painting, now at the Prado Museum of Madrid, was made for the Emperor Charles V between the 1551 and the 1554. Through the “contextual network reconstruction” approach to the art work, we’ll propose a new point of view on the meaning and the history of the image
Questo studio esplora i contenuti di una ricerca interdisciplinare sulle vicende storiche, le basi teoretiche e le fonti (testuali e visive) collegate alla "Trinità" (o "Gloria") di Tiziano Vecellio. Il dipinto, oggi al Museo del Prado di Madrid, fu eseguito per l’imperatore Carlo V Asburgo tra il 1551 e il 1554. Attraverso la ricostruzione della “rete contestuale” dell’opera, si propone un punto di vista inedito sul significato e sulla storia dell’immagine
