Abstract
The term ‘eruptive melanocytic nevi’ refers to the sudden onset
of multiple melanocytic nevi such as common, dysplastic, Spitz
and blue nevi on previously unaffected skin. The development of
eruptive melanocytic nevi has frequently been linked to systemic
immune suppression, although it does not appear to represent a
conditio sine qua non.
In this study, we report seven children with a common phen-
toype, who developed eruptive amelanotic melanocytic nevi and
discuss whether this phenomenon is more than occasional.
