Abstract
The parallel implementation of an isolated word recognizer is described in this paper. Each word is represented with 16 coefficients computed on the basis of an auditory model; comparison between words is performed with the standard DTW technique. The system is based on a single, general purpose Cellular Array Processor (CAP) and is capable to handle more than 500 words in real time.
