This paper is concerned with the relationship between Cancel Culture and the general phenomenon of Taboos, and analyzes the latter from historical, religious and anthropological perspectives, showing how Cancel Culture contains and re-proposes the same elements/key of the main Taboos that have been produced throughout history. These Taboos, and their violation, are enumerated in detail and summarily analyzed in their significance, which is essentially to prevent the uncontrolled emergence of inter-human predation, and not as commonly believed, the perception of death.
