In this article is published an anonymous barzelletta “alla facchinesca”, transmitted by a Venetian zibaldone which probably dates back to the early years of the 16th century. After an introduction, in which a review of the parodic production in the Bergamo dialect is offered and the most innovative aspects of the barzelletta in question are evaluated, the text is furnished with a literary commentary and a linguistic analysis.
