We have tested the dermotoxicity of some purified nematocysts preparations of Aurelia aurita, Chrysaora hysoscella, Rhizostoma pulmo, in 25 volunteers by means of scratch-patch test. Our results show the validity of the method used for nematocyst purification. The few skin reactions obtained confirm the low dermotoxicity of the jellyfish studied.
