The present works constitutes the first thorough analysis of the monetary circulation between the IVth and VIIth centuries A.D. in Aquileia. Not only numismatics aspects have been considered but also the contribution of coin finds to the reconsctruction of local history during the Late Roman and Early Medieval period.
Il lavoro analizza nel dettaglio, per la prima volta,la circolazione monetale aquileiese tra IV e VII sec. d.C. Oltre agli aspetti prettamente numismatici, viene considerato anche l'apporto dei rinvenimenti monetali alla ricostruzione della storia locale tra tarda Antichità e l'Alto Medioevo.
