Abstract
Basic principles of polarographic and voltammetric techniques are briefly surveyed, together with the main analytical information that can be achieved by these electrochemical methods. Pulse polarography and pulse voltammetry are also described in view of their better performance offered for analyte characterization and quantitative determination. Voltammetric responses recorded for surface-involving electrochemical processes are also described briefly, together with the profitable performance achieved by the use of microelectrodes.
