Marcello Mascherini. L’uomo artista visto dai letterati del suo tempo.

Oltrea raccogliere lettere e poesie indirizzate allo scultore, questo studio tratterà del rapporto tra lettere e arti figurative, della vicenda del Guerriero, monumento alla Resistenza contestato a Trieste nel 1968, e delle sculture più ammirate. I saggi degli studiosi coinvolti verranno pubblicati in un libro, che verrà presentato in vari luoghi della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia e donato alle biblioteche pubbliche in Regione e nazionali. Il progetto editoriale si svilupperà in parallelo ad altre attività di divulgazione, quali: • letture sceniche di testi e poesie sull’arte, interpretate anche da giovani attori • performance di danza attorno alle sculture di Mascherini • mostra itinerante in Regione, documentaria e di opere d’arte • visite guidate alla casa-museo Mascherini a Sistiana • visite guidate alle opere di Mascherini a Trieste.

In addition to collecting letters and poems addressed to the sculptor, this study will deal with the relationship between letters and figurative arts, the story of the Warrior, a monument to the Resistance contested in Trieste in 1968, and the most admired sculptures. The essays by the scholars involved will be published in a book, which will be presented in various places in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and donated to public libraries in the Region and nationwide. The publishing project will be developed in parallel with other outreach activities, such as: - staged readings of texts and poems about art, also performed by young actors - dance performances around Mascherini's sculptures - traveling exhibition in the region, documentary and of works of art - guided tours of the Mascherini house-museum in Sistiana - guided tours of Mascherini's works in Trieste.
