Ecosistema Innovazione iNEST Interconnected Nord-Est Innovation Ecosystem - ATTIVITA' NON RENDICONTABILI

Gli Ecosistemi dell’Innovazione rappresentano interessanti opportunità offerte dal PNRR tramite il MUR; si tratta di progetti di innovazione e sviluppo dedicati a specifici territori. Il Nord Est ha colto questa occasione proponendo ed aggiudicandosi il progetto “iNEST - interconnected Nord-Est innovation ecoSyStem”. Il tema base del progetto si concentra sulla “digitalizzazione”, coniugata nei diversi ambiti caratterizzanti gli specifici territori coinvolti. I coordinatori del progetto sono i 9 Atenei del Nord Est a cui si aggiungono altri 15 istituzioni quali “affiliati”. In questo contesto, l’Università di Trieste ha proposto e coordina uno Spoke su mare e acqua con il seguente tema specifico “Tecnologie marine, marittime e delle acque interne: verso il digital twin dell’Alto Adriatico”. Tale Spoke riunisce attorno all’Ateneo i principali attori del territorio: l’Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale - OGS, la Sissa, l’Autorità di Sistema Portuale del mare Adriatico Orientale, il Cluster Marefvg, il Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico e diverse imprese, tra cui ricordiamo in particolare Fincantieri. Partecipano inoltre le Università di Padova, Ca’Foscari di L’Università di Trieste crede fortemente nella valenza ed importanza della tematica, pienamente in linea con i più recenti indirizzi Europei e con i bandi e finanziamenti di Horizon Europe. Con il coinvolgimento di ben 5 Dipartimenti (DMG, DIA, DSV, DSCF, DSM) l’Università con i suoi affiliato svolge una attività di ricerca e innovazione integrata che tocca in modo multidisciplinare i diversi aspetti scientifici legati al mare (RT -Research Topics): Biologia degli ecosistemi dell'idrosfera; Rischi fisico-chimici e impatti sull'idrosfera; Mobilità sostenibile per vie navigabili; Pianificazione marittima e territoriale integrata Terra-Mare; Digital Twin dell’Alto Adriatico. L’obiettivo finale rimane quello di riuscire in 3 anni a realizzare, integrando dati e ricerche dei diversi RT, il “gemello digitale dell’Alto Adriatico”. Tale strumento virtuale, capace di comportarsi come la sua controparte reale avrà un duplice fine: permettere una dettagliata attività di monitoraggio in tempo reale della situazione marina e marittima del golfo di Trieste e produrre simulazioni predittive a beneficio delle Istituzioni e dei cittadini. Fondamentale per la realizzazione sarà il ruolo dell’Autorità di Sistema Portuale del mare Adriatico Orientale. Venezia, IUAV di Venezia e Trento. iNEST has obtained total funding for 9 Spokes over 3 years of a total of 110 millions, of which 40% will be dedicated to the so-called "cascade tenders", aimed in particular at supporting companies with a share reserved for the South. It will be important in this phase, and not only, the involvement of the Regional Industrial Sector and Clusters, also to effectively reach SMEs. In addition to industrial and applied research activities, the general horizontal objectives of iNEST include: the creation of a network of joint laboratories between universities, research institutions and companies; the development of specific training programmes, starting from ITS up to permanent training; the construction of a program to support the creation and development of start-ups and spin-offs from research; and the implementation of initiatives for the involvement of society as a whole thanks to an innovative action of citizen engagement coordinated at macro-regional level by our University. iNEST ha ottenuti un finanziamento complessivo per 9 Spokes sui 3 anni di 110 milioni totali di cui il 40% sarà dedicato ai cosiddetti “bandi a cascata”, mirati in particolare al supporto alle imprese con una quota riservata al Sud. Importante sarà in questa fase, e non solo, il coinvolgimento del Settore Industriale Regionale e dei Clusters, anche per raggiungere in maniera efficace le PMI. Oltre alle attività di ricerca industriale ed applicata, tra gli obiettivi orizzontali generali di iNEST figurano la creazione di una rete di laboratori congiunti tra università, enti di ricerca e aziende, lo sviluppo di specifici programmi di formazione, a partire dagli ITS fino a progetti di formazione permanente, la costruzione di un programma per supportare la nascita e sviluppo di start-up e spin off dalla ricerca e la realizzazione di iniziative per il coinvolgimento della società tutta nei processi di innovazione con una ampia azione coordinata a livello macroregionale dalla nostra Università di citizen engagement.

The Innovation Ecosystems represent interesting opportunities offered by the PNRR through the MUR; these are innovation and development projects dedicated to specific territories. The North East took this opportunity by proposing and winning the "iNEST - interconnected Nord-Est innovation ecoSyStem" project. The basic theme of the project focuses on "digitalization", combined in the various areas characterizing the specific territories involved. The coordinators of the project are the 9 universities of the North East to which are added another 15 institutions as "affiliates". In this context, the University of Trieste has proposed and coordinates a Spoke on sea and water with the following specific theme "Marine, maritime and inland water technologies: towards the digital twin of the Upper Adriatic". This Spoke brings together the main players in the area around the University: the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics - OGS, SISSA, the Port System Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea, the Marefvg Cluster, the North Adriatic Technological Pole and various companies, among which we mention in particular Fincantieri. The Universities of Padua, Ca'Foscari of Venice, IUAV of Venice and Trento also participate. The University of Trieste strongly believes in the value and importance of the topic, fully in line with the most recent European guidelines and with Horizon Europe calls for tenders and funding. With the involvement of 5 Departments (DMG, DIA, DSV, DSCF, DSM) the University with its affiliates carries out an integrated research and innovation activity that touches on the various scientific aspects related to the sea in a multidisciplinary way (RT -Research Topics): Biology of ecosystems of the hydrosphere; Physico-chemical risks and impacts on the hydrosphere; Sustainable waterway mobility; Land-Sea Integrated Maritime and Territorial Planning; Digital Twin of the Upper Adriatic. The ultimate goal remains that of being able to create, in 3 years, the "digital twin of the Upper Adriatic", by integrating data and research from the various RTs. This virtual tool, capable of behaving like its real counterpart, will have a double purpose: allow detailed real-time monitoring of the marine and maritime situation in the Gulf of Trieste and produce predictive simulations for the benefit of institutions and citizens.
