Francesca Krasna is Associate Professor in Economic and Political Geography at the Faculty of Economics in the University of Trieste. She teaches Geography of the International Trade, Economic Geography, Geography of Tourism and Regional Geography. Her main research fields are: Economic Geography, Political Geography and Geopolitics (with a special focus on Eastern Europe and particularly on the Balkans); globalization and local development; Population Geography (migration phenomena, multiculturalism, identity); Urban Geography and Geography of Tourism in relation with environmental issues.
