Barbara Vogt graduated in German and Italian studies at the University of Würzburg. From 1995 to 2000 she worked as a lecturer for the German academic exchange service (DAAD) at the University of Venice (Italy). In 2001 she obtained the 1 state examination (abilitazione) for German language and culture in secondary education and worked as a teacher for German language and culture in different types of secondary schools. In 2009 she completed her Ph. D. in linguistics at the University of Verona with a dissertation in phonology. In 2009 she was awarded with a Postdoctoral fellowship, funded by the Research Council of Norway (“YGGDRASIL”- mobility programme) at the Center for Advanced Study in Theoretical Linguistics (CASTL), University of Tromsø, Norway. From July 2010 to June 2011 she is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Verona, Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures with a research project on a typology of Language Games. From 2004 to 2011 she worked as a professor with temporary contracts (professore a contratto, cultore della materia) for German Linguistics (Lingua Tedesca) at the Universities of Teramo, Verona and Padova). From 2012 onwards she is a researcher (ricercatore) for German Linguistics at the University of Trieste. Barbara Vogt hat published articles in the fields of phonology, prosodic morphology and language acquisition. She has participated at international conferences (with anonymous abstract selection), e.g. at the GALA (Generative Approaches to Language Acquisition) 2011, with a talk on “Templates in language acquisition, adult language and in language games”. She is part of the editorial staff for “Prospero. Rivista di letterature straniere, comparatistica e studi culturali”.
